This discussion post on trending technologies showed me how crucial it is for teachers to stay up-to-date on technology and how it can be applied to the classroom in various areas and subjects in order to teach, motivate, and encourage/push students further. When it comes to knowledge, every tool that can be harnessed and applied is an asset that we should use to better mankind.

Reflection

This discussion post showed me how crucial it is for teachers to stay communicate with the parents of students. To be specific, the assignment had us create a table that assesses the pros and cons of the types of technology for communicating with parents. Overall, this assignment demonstrated not only the various options we as teachers have when reaching out to parents, but also to show teachers how they should always proceed with caution when doing so. 

Reflection

This discussion post showed me how crucial it is for teachers to be familiar with the various tools, sites, and apps students use to complete assignments, activities, and projects on prgrams like Google Slides and Canva to name as examples. This helps teachers stay familiar with what students are doing and allows us to use them for future assignments/activities; which would require less explanation to students on how to navigate programs/sites since some would have prior experience already.
